In PEARL she continues down this path, together with five EnKnapGroup dancers. The creative process is based on sessions of improvisation where the choreographer and the performers examined themes like crossing and drawing lines, exploring personal crisis, points, playing with attraction, fighting for acceptance, applying imitation, chasing joy, being overwhelmed by desires, finding inner satisfaction in oversupply.
The material evolved from the persistent physical, verbal and emotional research, involving continously of the reactions, impulses, inputs and experiences of the performers.
A hedonistic roller coaster, a production of happiness, a glimpse of moments without shame, foreign bodies in mother-of-pearl, a celebration of its completeness. Pearls and swine.
