“Doubt is a killer.” (Jennifer Lopez) — For about twenty years now, Adrienn Hód has been choreographing works that radically reimagine dance in its means and possibilities. As provocative as her productions occasionally seem, the space from which they emerge is equally flooded with trust. Bodies that approach the audience in genuine ways and topics emphasising the contradictory nature of questions relating to identity and society are folded into touching, multilayered dance pieces by the Hungarian choreographer. In “Coexist” and “Harmonia”, Adrienn Hód and Unusual Symptoms already produced two collaborative efforts which both received invitations to Tanzplattform Deutschland as well as to theatres and festivals throughout Europe. Now they come together for the third time, bringing their personalities, experiences and fantasies that will coalesce into new realities.
